13 June, Brussels (Belgium)
On June 13th, the MobiliseYourCity Steering Committee took the opportunity to thank Eric Beaume (DEVCO) for his ambitious and successful engagement as its Chairman since its first meeting in the year 2016.
The Steering Committee welcomed Paulina Potemski as his successor. Representing the French Ministry for an Ecological and Solidarity-based Transition (MTES) in the Partnership. Paulina is the Coordinator for Global Climate Action in the French Climate Negotiation Team and the Deputy Head of the Climate and Energy Unit in the ministry. Paulina is in charge of linking MTES’ areas of responsability (i.e. transport, construction, water, oceans, energy, and local authorities) to the Climate Action Agenda in the framework of the Paris Agreement on Climate, and to the UNFCCC. Prior to that, she worked for the French Institute of Science and Technology for Transport, Development and Networks (IFSTTAR) in Paris; among other functions, Paulina was in charge of European networks coordination for IFSTTAR and maintaining interfaces vis-à-vis European institutions.
Paulina’s ambition as Chairperson of the MobiliseYourCity Partnership is -among others- to maintain and advance the partnership spirit in order to further upscale its impacts on protecting the global climate, and to ensure robustness of results with respect to the several individual affiliated support-projects carried out by the team of Partners.
