An Indian delegation visits Lyon

On 23 and 24 September, an Indian delegation from GMRC (Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation), MAHA Metro, KMRL (Kochi Metro Rail Limited) and Surat Municipal Corporation visited Lyon.

The visit is part of a study tour to France from 23 to 27 September. The aim is to share best practices drawn from the experience of mature mobility systems in Paris and Lyon. The main themes of the week's study are multimodal integration and the financing of urban transport.

The GMRC and MAHA Metro are responsible for commissioning and implementing metro projects in various cities in Gujarat and Maharashtra, two Indian states.

CODATU is co-organising this study visit with Expertise France, with financial support from the Agence Française de Développement and MobiliseYourCity. The delegation will meet teams from SYTRAL Mobilités and GART, and visit sites such as Carré de Soie, the metro maintenance centre, and the Part-Dieu, Oullins and Hôpital Lyon Sud multimodal interchange hubs.
