Register now to our online course on Urban Mobility in Africa!

Starting from 14th March, MobiliseYourCity and its partners are offering a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Urban Mobility in Africa. For seven weeks, the course will offer a complete overview of urban mobility in Africa, with the opportunity for participants to share expertise and learn from peers. The course addresses the main characteristics of urban transport on the continent, the social and environmental scenarios and the possible levers to address urban transport planning issues in Africa. To encourage high participation, the costs of this course are generously covered by AFD. 

With more than 3,300 subscribers from more than 80 countries, the first French-speaking edition of the MOOC last year was a great success. MobiliseYourCity together with CODATU, AFD, the University of Senghor and AUF are therefore proud to launch a second edition, this time with English subtitles. The MOOC is open to French and English-speaking executives, decision-makers, students, architects, technicians, and more generally people interested in urban mobility issues.

By 2050, Africa will be home to 1.5 billion people. This growth requires a transformation of transport systems in cities to meet the needs of all citizens and ensure the sustainable development of African societies. Based on this observation, MobiliseYourCity, CODATU, AFD, The University of Senghor and AUF have brought together their expertise to equip participants with concrete solutions involving transport authorities and mobility planning, financing and project management of urban mobility investment projects. This MOOC offers a unique opportunity for African mobility practitioners to meet with their peers and create a network.  

At the end of every week, a final quiz will allow participants to check their knowledge and obtain a certificate of attendance. Students will also get the chance to receive a certification, corresponding to two ECTS.
