As countries and cities with higher vulnerability to climate change located in the Global South struggle with their escalating impacts, the need for climate adaptation within urban mobility systems becomes increasingly apparent.
This session is part of a series on Climate Change Adaptation in Urban Mobility developed by MobiliseYourCity, and aims to raise the awareness of the impacts and underscore the importance of incorporating climate adaptation strategies. It presents the effects and consequences of climatic events, drawing on various sources and research that have explored climate change adaptation in urban mobility systems. Additionally, the session uses practical examples and interactive activities, such as discussions, quizzes, and exercises, to identify the risks faced by urban mobility caused by climate change and some potential actions to increase their adaptation.
