Description
This training set introduces the links between gender and mobility and explores ways of integrating a genderresponsive practice along the SUMP/NUMP planning cycle. Gender is one of the most significant determinants of mobility choices, yet traditionally overlooked in mobility planning. For sustainable urban mobility to succeed, practitioners need to take gender differences into account. Gender-responsive mobility planning strives for equal access to our communities, services, and employment – the power to shape one's life.
