Colombia becomes the newest MobiliseYourCity partner, joining a leading group of 13 countries and 57 cities committed improving local mobility while fighting the global climate crisis

The Minister of Transport Ángela María Orozco signed the official adhesion of Colombia to the Global MobiliseYourCity Partnership, which aims to make urban transport a sustainable means for all Colombians and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

With this alliance, the National Government intends to obtain benefits in terms of health, quality of life in the cities, social justice, economic prosperity, reduction of road accidents and solutions that will allow us to achieve transformational changes towards a more sustainable transport that will contribute to the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) proposed by the United Nations.

This alliance is one more example of the commitment of the sector and the national government to achieve sustainable mobility in the country, it is an alliance that will allow us to work at a national level to strengthen sustainable transport policies. In addition, it will allow us to prepare for possible investment projects in the transport sector and will connect us with different financing agencies for the development of these projects

At the national level, the prioritized actions include the promotion of electric and low-emission vehicles and adress the air quality problem.µ
