Female Changemakers for Sustainable Mobility. 5th Edition 2023

Mobility is an essential public good. However, transport systems fail to sufficiently address the needs of women, diminishing their right to the city and to safe and free movement. With women making up only 20% of the global workforce in the transport sector, their perspectives are missing, especially on the decision-making level.

This 2023 Remarkable Women edition aims to showcase the power of diverse visions for feminist transport policy. A public call for “Feminist Voices in Transport” resulted in over 80 nominations from over 20 countries. In addition to the diverse and personal portraits, it highlights selected organizations and think tanks for their outstanding work towards more equitable and gender-transformative mobility.
